This is an unframed original, multiple fish, Gyotaku rub.  The fish on the top is a black rockfish that my husband Keith caught in Resurrection Bay in August 2016.  The fish on the bottom is a male kelp greenling that my husband caught the same day.  The paper I chose for this original is a soft, heavily wrinkled, hand patterned paper from Thailand; it's one of my favorite papers to work with.  No two sheets bear the same patterning, just like no two Gyotaku fish rubs are alike.  The combination of the two makes for a truly one of a kind piece of artwork.
